So, a few days ago Adrian Peterson shows up to court and submits a urine sample, and tells them that he had smoked a little weed before hand. Knowing that he was out on bond, and "smoking a little weed" is frowned upon by the court that allowed you to bond out, he done it anyway. But, I guess he hasn't really been known for making good decisions lately either. I find it hard to understand why he would do the things he has done, and then blame it on the way he was raised, and then go to court to try and prove his innocence all while "smoking a little weed". He is not being very convincing in my opinion, but I guess its not up to me. The sad thing is that with the amount of money that he has and the representation he can buy, he will probably get away with very minimal punishment, and probably play football again, while "smoking a little weed". Another one of those sad things that is twisted about this world, just makes you say "you gotta be kidding!".
Well, its here. The newest possible epidemic, the Ebola virus. I just have to think "why is it here" is it because of carelessness or was it allowed to come here? I cant really answer that question, but I have to think that it is definitely something you wanna watch, its really bad stuff!!
I do know that as soon as the first Dr was brought back to the U.S. to be treated, I told my wife that this will be the start of something bad. I have no doubt that the doctors here can treat it better, but I don't think it is something to treat on our soil. I have heard old stories about people coming back from overseas in the military not being let back into the U.S. for deadly diseases. Why would Ebola not be on the list? I know it sounds harsh and it would be bad if it were a family member, but if it saved thousands of other lives, then I think it is necessary. Why weren't the people flying from there to here (or anywhere else for that matter) quarantined? It seems as if they knew there was a possibility of this happening, but didn't do anything to prevent it. One man in Texas has already died from it, and it didn't take him long. A man in Nebraska is fighting it while racking up thousands and thousands of dollars in medical bills. I just think that if I knew the high risk of going over there to help, that I would understand not being allowed back here until I was cured. Now there are people showing up at hospitals with symptoms, flights that are being delayed because of the threat of someone on board having it. I guess it just doesn't make since to me to allow these people into the country, but since I don't make the decisions, I will just have to be very cautious and just say..."you gotta be kidding" |
